Gulbenkian magnetic tapes collection preliminar study.
On 23 January 2026, the project team carried out a preliminary on-site assessment of the magnetic tape collection selected for treatment within PreservArt at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation archives. The evaluation focused on the physical condition of the tapes, their storage history, and visible signs of chemical or biological degradation, with the aim of defining appropriate restoration and digitisation strategies.
